Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This is my house on the internet, and I treat the people who come here the way I’d treat someone who came to the door. Here is exactly what happens to your information.
The short version
I collect as little as I can. I don’t sell it, rent it, or trade it to anyone. If you want it gone, email me and it’s gone.
Who I am
Paris & June is run by me, Abril. If you have a question about anything on this page, or you want to see or delete what I hold about you, write to me at [hello@parisandjune.com] and I’ll answer personally.
What I collect, and why
When you subscribe to the Sunday Letter
Your email address, and your first name if you give it. I use it to send you the Letter and the occasional note about something I’ve made. Nothing else. There’s an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, and it works immediately.
When you buy something
Your name, email address, billing details, and what you ordered. I need these to take payment, send you your purchase, and keep the records I’m legally required to keep. I never see or store your full card number — that goes directly to my payment processor.
When you leave a comment
Your name, email address, comment, and the IP address your browser sends. WordPress stores these so the comment can be shown and so I can keep spam out. Your email is never published.
When you simply visit
My host records standard log information — IP address, browser type, which pages were opened, and when. This is ordinary web-server housekeeping and I use it to keep the site working.
Analytics
I use [name your analytics tool, e.g. Google Analytics / Fathom / none] to see which essays people read, in aggregate. I don’t use this to build a profile of you as an individual.
What I don’t do
- I don’t sell your personal information. I never have and I won’t.
- I don’t rent, trade, or share your email with other businesses, advertisers, or list brokers.
- I don’t sell ad space or run third-party advertising networks on this site.
- I don’t send you email you didn’t ask for.
Who else touches your information
I’m one person, so I use services to run things. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job, and each is bound by its own privacy terms:
- Flodesk — sends the Sunday Letter and stores the subscriber list.
- [Your payment processor, e.g. Stripe / PayPal] — handles payments and card details.
- [Your web host] — runs the site and keeps server logs.
- [Your analytics tool, if any] — aggregate visitor statistics.
- [Your booking tool, e.g. Calendly — only if you use one] — scheduling for calls, if you book one.
These providers process information in the United States. If you’re writing from the EU or UK, your information may be transferred and stored there.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site leaves in your browser. This one uses:
- Necessary cookies — so the site works, so your cart remembers what’s in it, and so the cookie notice doesn’t ask you twice.
- Analytics cookies — anonymous, aggregate, and only if you’ve accepted them.
- Comment cookies — if you leave a comment, WordPress may save your name and email so you don’t retype them next time.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the necessary ones may break parts of the site.
Some embedded content — an Instagram feed, a video — is served by another company, and that company may set its own cookies. I have no control over those, and their own privacy policies apply.
How long I keep things
- Subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete you.
- Orders: as long as the law requires me to keep financial records, then no longer.
- Comments: indefinitely, unless you ask me to remove yours.
- Server logs and analytics: on my providers’ standard retention schedules.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask me to:
- tell you what information I hold about you,
- send you a copy of it,
- correct anything that’s wrong,
- delete it,
- or stop using it for a particular purpose.
Email me and I’ll do it. I won’t ask you why, and I won’t charge you.
If you’re in the EU or UK, GDPR gives you those rights formally, plus the right to object, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to your data protection authority. I process your information on one of three bases: your consent (the Letter), performing a contract (your order), or my legitimate interest in running a working website (server logs, spam prevention).
If you’re in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what’s collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for asking. California also gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — I don’t sell or share it, so there’s nothing to opt out of.
Children
This site is written for adults and isn’t directed at children. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given me information, tell me and I’ll delete it.
Security
I use HTTPS across the site, I keep the software updated, and I choose providers that take security seriously. No site can promise perfect security, and I won’t pretend otherwise. If something ever happened that affected your information, I’d tell you.
Links to other sites
When you follow a link away from here, you’re in someone else’s house and their rules apply. I’m not responsible for how other sites handle your information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, I’ll update the date at the top, and I’ll say so in the Letter. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept it.
Ask me anything
Really. If you want to know what I have, write to me at [hello@parisandjune.com] or through my contact page, and I’ll tell you plainly.
Con cariño, Abril
