Hola, bienvenidos!
I’m Abril
In 2016, God spoke one simple word to my heart through a dream:
Write.
At the time, I was working in finance and accounting for a large oil and gas company. Writing wasn’t part of my career plan, and I knew nothing about blogging, websites, or HTML. My creativity mostly found its way into gardening, DIY projects, and making a home.
But that quiet invitation stayed with me.
So I began.
There were plenty of moments when I wanted to quit—late nights learning how to build a website, countless tutorials, and more than a few frustrated moments at my kitchen table. Yet each small step reminded me that sometimes we’re simply called to be faithful, even before we understand where the path will lead.
Over the years, Paris & June has grown alongside me.
What began as a place to share adventures and encouragement has become a home for something much deeper.
Today, I write about motherhood, homemaking, wellness, personal growth, and the quiet rhythms that shape our lives. I’ve come to believe that joy isn’t something we stumble upon—it is something we cultivate. It’s found in ordinary moments: morning hugs, conversations around the dinner table, laughter echoing through the hallways, caring well for ourselves and those we love, and building homes where people can flourish.
I believe home is more than a place. It’s where character is formed, love is nurtured, traditions are born, and generations are shaped.
My hope is that when you leave Paris & June, you’ll feel encouraged to slow down, cherish the ordinary, and discover that some of life’s greatest joys have been waiting for you at home all along.
Thank you for being here. It’s an honor to share this journey with you.
Welcome to Paris & June!

A few things about me
That bring me joy
- You’ll usually find me: Curled up with a good book, tending the garden, planning our next adventure, or dreaming up ways to make our home function a little better.
- A simple joy: A warm cup of tea, quiet mornings, and hearing my children laugh at the table while I make breakfast.
- Always learning: Homemaking, thoughtful design, gardening, psychology, faith, and the many ways our environments shape the people we become.
- Favorite way to recharge: Gardening while listening to a podcast that makes me think.
- Food I could eat forever: Gorditas.
- If music is playing: There’s a good chance it’s Patsy Cline.
- A dream for the future: To grow our own food, preserve the harvest, write books that encourage others, design homes that help families flourish, and fill a little piece of land with happy dogs, curious children, and a few baby goats in pajamas.
