The Ultimate 15 Song Playlist To Demolish Any Workout

A few days ago, while walking to dinner Cecil suddenly lets go of my hand and out of nowhere says “keep walking, I’ve gotta do something I forgot to do earlier.” Being the prankster that he is, I was skeptical, but he reassured me we wouldn’t do anything funny. This guy has played just about every joke in the book on me. So yes I was very skeptical, but I kept walking (so trusting of me).  He then jogged back and said “ok, got it.” I giggled nervously, and with a suspicious look said: “what are you planning?” He then showed me a picture of my back. He has a habit of taking pictures of me when I am not paying attention. Some turn out good actually; others are plain hilarious and funny looking. He then said: “Just look at your back! Baby, I am so proud of you.” I laughed because the whole time I just knew he was going to come up behind me and scare the teenage Jesus out of me, but he didn’t; he was sweet. I’ve been scarred for life but this boy keeps me on my toes.
A few years back we made some changes to our eating habits and our workout routines. We started watching our foods and came up with better snacks, sides, dinners and even smoothies. (Click on the links to get our awesome recipes). The result, we both look better than we ever did.

Here is why I love working out. The Gym is good for the mind and body! It’s a place to release endorphins and let go of all the stress.  One of the best feelings is conquering a workout and walking out of the gym feeling like nothing can bring you down. I’ll be honest though; it is a way of life, not just something to put down as a New Years resolution. The gym is part of a daily routine that I intend to keep for the rest of my life because I want to be healthy and fit forever.  There are days when going to the gym seems impossible, but I’ll tell you this I’ve never regretted going to the gym. Yes, it’s hard, but if it were easy everyone would do it.
How have I survived so many gym days? Music. Music is a way to help with focus when you’re at work, to relax when you’ve had a bad day, dance to it, cry to it, laugh, party, and the list goes on.  It expresses unspoken emotions. In my instance, music helps me focus and stay consistent. I use a music playlist at the gym to motivate me, push me to my limits and get me beyond my goals.

So yes you guessed it! I am sharing my favorite playlist to help keep you motivated. This particular playlist has never let me down; it will help you destroy any gym workout. You can purchase all the songs on iTunes (which BTW I love). It is so convenient to pop open and type in a verse of a song I heard on TV.  Yes, I do that. They should put titles in those little snippets of music commercials. That would be grrreeat! Bill Lumbergh get out of my head. Show of hands, who’s watched Office Space?  This movie cracks me up. (I swear my thoughts are all in movies quotes.) Back to the main dish.

My usual go-to are dub step, remixes, rock and upbeat songs.

  1. Revolution (feat. Faustix & Inanos and Kai) by Diplo
  2. One day they’ll know (Odessa Remix)
  3. Latin Moon by Mia Martina
  4. What do you mean? Justin Bieber
  5. TKO by Justin Timberlake (Talk about major and forever high school crush)
  6. DJ turn it up by Yellow Claw
  7. Lean On (feat. MO) by Major Lazer and DJ Snake
  8. Back in black by AC/DC (my hubby’s favorite song)
  9. Where are U now with Justin Bieber by Skrillex and Diplo
  10. Murder by Justin Timberlake
  11. Cracks (feat. Belle Humble) Remix by Flux Pavillion
  12. Enter Sandman by Metallica
  13. I can’t stop by Flux Pavillion
  14. Paradise by Cold Play
  15. Set the World on Fire (Neon Feather Remix) by Nicole Britt and The remixers

Why am I sharing all of this with you? Because it is my goal to inspire you to live a happy and fulfilled life to the fullest. (Read more about my goal and this blog). Being healthy is a journey but any dream is reachable! It takes time and effort to get to where you want to be. Be patient with yourself! I promise you the results will come if you put the work in at the Gym and in the kitchen. Four years ago I did not look they way I look now. Today my body is strong, healthy and in the best shape it’s ever been. Keep striving, keep pushing, and never stop!
